LT- Queen Penelope

A while back when I was watching Pepe Le Pew cartoons, it occured to me that that Penelope Pussycat actually shares the same name as King Oddesius' wife from The Odyssey.

For those who don't know your epic poems, Queen Penelope is noted for warding off her suitors while her husband was trying to get home.

And Penelope Pussycat is, of course, most famous for trying to ward off a rather persistant suitor herself.

I haven't done any research on why they went with "Penelope" of all names, but my thoughts on this matter are, "There's no way that's a coincidence."

Anyway, I started wondering if anyone had drawn Penelope as the famous Grecian Queen. A few searches later and finding nothing, I decided to draw her as such myself.

The outfit's mosly based off a Halloween costume I kept coming across in my Google search for references.
